Biscuit on a Stick - Family baking for kids

7-10 year olds | one hour

This delicious dessert can be as polished or as easy as your child’s skill level and your time will allow. It’s a re-invention of the old school biscuit… and much easier to dip in your milk.

What You'll Need

  • lollypop sticks
  • glass of milk
  • royal icing
  • sprinkles
  • 125 grams butter
  • 110 grams sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 250 grams flour

Instructions

  1. Mix the butter, sugar, egg, vanilla and flour together in a bowl.
  2. Cover and place in the fridge for half hour.
  3. Take dough out and break up into small chunks.
  4. Leave the chunks as they are or shape them into hearts, stars, faces, flowers, diamonds, suns, etc.
  5. Insert lollypop stick into dough.
  6. Place biscuits on cooking sheet. Place in preheated oven (180 ºC) and cook until golden (time varies depending on thickness of your chunk/ shape).
  7. Take biscuits out, let them cool.
  8. Decorate with royal icing and sprinkles.
  9. Dip in your milk and enjoy!
