Cherry Blossom Painting

4-6 year olds | half hour

Show your little one how to experiment with paint’s characteristics in this cherry blossom tree painting. Not much mess and very realistic.

What You'll Need

  • heavy white paper
  • pink paint
  • black marker
  • water
  • cup
  • paintbrush

1. Mix equal parts paint and water in a cup.
2. Brush the white paper with water all over.
3. Dot on the pink paint. Watch the paint spread and ‘blossom’ across the paper.
4. When you have enough blossoms for the tree, let the paper dry.
5. Once dry, add a thin trunk and branches with the black marker.
