Magic Water

These pretty trinkets are interesting to look at and play with, plus they prove valuable in teaching kids about the properties of liquids and solids.
What You'll Need
- a plastic water bottle (labels removed, a taller and smoother bottle works better)
- glitter
- sequins
- glittery ribbon
- vegetable or sunflower oil
- glue
- food colouring
- washing-up liquid
Instructions
1. Cut ribbon into eight-centimetre pieces.
2. Fill bottle with water, leaving five to six centimetres of bottle empty.
3. Add glitter, ribbons, sequins, and any other light shiny objects.
4. Add a few drops of food colouring , vegetable oil and/or washing-up liquid for bubbles and colour (optional).
5. Take the top of the bottle and coat with glue.
6. Twist on the top until very tight.
7. Enjoy!
