Papier-Mâché Dinosaur Bone

What's cooler than a dog bone? A dinosaur bone of course! It's simple to make, and your child will be playing with it for ages.

What You'll Need

  • Large cardboard tube
  • Large plastic bowl
  • Flour-water glue
  • Newspaper
  • Tape
  • White, yellow or tan tempera paint
  • Brush


  1. Crumble up newspaper into balls and tape to the ends of a cardboard tube.
  2. Tear strips of newspaper about 1-inch wide.
  3. Dip the newspaper strips into flour-water glue and wrap each strip around the bone. 
  4. Cover the entire bone and let it dry overnight.
  5. Paint the bone.
  6. Enjoy playing with your dinosaur bone!
