Simple Kazoo

4-6 year olds | half hour

Keep the kids busy for half an hour with this quickly made craft. Perfect when you’re in a pinch and don’t have many supplies.

What You'll Need

  • paper roll
  • wax paper
  • elastic band
  • markers or crayons


1. Tear a piece of wax paper out.
2. Cover one side of the paper roll end with wax paper. Secure with elastic band.
3. Colour the roll with markers or crayons and blow the kazoo to make a trumpet sound. Experiment with different breaths and intensities to make different types of sounds.
