Thumbprint Heart Biscuits - Family recipes for kids

Give peanut butter biscuits a lovable twist with this recipe. Perfect for Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day!

What You'll Need

  • 225 grams butter
  • 260 grams peanut butter
  • 220 grams brown sugar
  • 200 grams sugar
  • 310 grams flour
  • 5 grams baking powder
  • 3 grams salt
  • 7 grams baking soda
  • strawberry jam, raspeberry jam or nutella

Instructions

  1. Mix together butter, peanut butter and sugar. Then beat in eggs.
  2. In separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  3. Stir both mixes together. Refrigerate for an hour.
  4. Break into one-inch balls. Flatten with spoon.
  5. Make two thumbprints on each, forming a heart indentation.
  6. Fill the heart in with jam or nutella. Strawberry or raspberry jam is the perfect colour for the hearts, but making some with chocolate adds variety!
  7. Bake in a preheated oven (190 ºC) for ten minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Let them cool and then eat them.
