Coming up with a continuous stream of Summer holiday ideas for fun family days out is no easy task but we have found a day out that is fun and gets your family active together in the great outdoors…. Maize mazes!

The idea started in the 1990s and now there are over 20 maize mazes across the UK every Summer. They open in late July and remain open until early September when most maize fields are then harvested (some remain open in September too). Costing £15-£20 for a family of four, they’re a great alternative to more expensive attractions and many include additional attractions like pedal carts and petting farms in the admission price.
